Miranda House Series
The home I grew up in had the view of Miranda House, a Portuguese-era construction with large windows and a
forest for a garden. I have broken down my memory of that house into four distinct features:
1. The terracotta Rooster finial on top of the house.
2. The terracotta Mangalore tiles on the large sloped roof.
3. The curved architectural details right below the roof.
4. The fence around the house. Core memories included spotting a squirrel on the roof with my mother.
